The Floral Park Indians Basketball Program is a community- based, volunteer run intramural basketball program that provides an environment promoting the learning of basic basketball skills and sportsmanship. 

1st Grade Co-Ed - Boys and Girls Clinic

  • Focusing on fun, fundamentals & basketball basics.
  • Development of dribbling, passing, shooting.
  • Clinic runs weekly for 6 sessions.
  • Sessions are 1 hour long.
  • Sessions will be starting in Early December.
  • Players will receive a uniform and clinic ball.

2nd Grade - Boys and Girls Clinic 

  • Focusing on fun, fundamentals & basketball basics.
  • Development of dribbling, passing, shooting.
  • Clinic runs weekly for 8 sessions.
  • Sessions are 1 hour long.
  • Sessions will be starting in January.
  • Players will receive a uniform and clinic ball

Boys and Girls 3rd & 4th Grade 

  • 4 Training Sessions* + 6-8 regular season league games*.
  • Training will focus on fundamentals and basic skills.
  • Stressing dribbling, passing, shooting, foot positioning and the correct way to move.
  •  Focusing on fundamentals in order to develop agility, balance, coordination and speed.
  • Training sessions will help prepare the player for regular season league games. 
  • 6-8 instructional league games will focus on player development and getting the player comfortable for court play.
  • Fun and Fundamentals are stressed over competition.
  • Program runs from December (practices)  to March/April
    * schedule permitting

Grades 5-12 League Games & Playoffs

  • Games run from January - April
  • Practices start in December
The Intramural ​Program stresses fun, sportsmanship & competition.
Registration in the Floral Park Indians Basketball Program is open to players residing in the Floral Park Bellerose School District.
